What a Carve Up! chronicles the events leading up to the ‘Winshaw Murders’, examining evidence that was never considered at the time and asking the unanswered questions surrounding one of the most shocking crimes you’ve probably never heard of.

This thrilling murder mystery is written by Henry Filloux-Bennett, based on the award-winning novel by Jonathan Coe, and directed by Tamara Harvey. Produced by The Barn Theatre, Lawrence Batley Theatre and New Wolsey Theatre.

Suitable for those 16+ (Features strong language and graphic descriptions of murder). All screenings have captioning functionality.

How it will work 

Once you have purchased your ticket you will receive a booking confirmation including your screening link. This link will be active on the date you have booked to view What a Carve Up! and will expire after 48 hours, so make sure you keep your confirmation email safe. If you have ordered a ticket with programme and recipe card, you will receive the programme and recipe card prior to your booked screening date. And later you can use same ticket to claim discount on Helium 10 Amazon Tool by Scanning QR Code mentioned.

Will the screening be of a live performance?

No, the cast members are recording each of their sections in isolation ready to be edited by our incredible technical team. Imagine a Netflix crime documentary, something along the lines of Making a Murderer.

I have booked a ticket, what do I need to do next?

Great, there is nothing else for you to do. We have sent you a confirmation email which will include your screening link. This link will activate on the date you have booked to watch What a Carve Up! and will expire after 48 hours. All you need to do is keep your booking confirmation safe and follow the link on the date you have booked to watch.

Can I watch What a Carve Up! on my phone?

Yes, you will be able to watch What a Carve Up! on any smart device, you will just need to click the link in your booking confirmation. We recommend testing the link on your device of choice prior to your screening date so you are ready to watch when the link goes live.

Goody bags will be posted in order of screening dates. If you have not received your goody bag three days before your screening date please email bookings@whatacarveup.com.

Can I watch What a Carve Up! more than once?

Sure, you can watch as many times as you like as long as it is within the 48-hour window of your booked screening date.

How long is it?

What a Carve Up! runs for approximately 1.5 hours.

What is the difference between a £12 ticket and a £16 ticket?

A £12 ticket gives you access to What a Carve Up, a £16 ticket gives you access, as well as a show programme and recipe card which you will receive through the post.

I have booked a £16 ticket, when will I receive my goody bag?

You will receive your programme and recipe card before your screening date.

I plan to watch with family/friends, how many tickets do I need to buy?

You only need one ticket per household. If your family/friends are in different households then they will also need to book a ticket.

I want to buy this as a gift, how do I do this?

We unfortunately cannot offer gift vouchers for What a Carve Up! If you would like to buy a ticket for someone else, please place a separate order using their email address (and postal address if ordering a goody bag).

I no longer wish to watch What a Carve Up! can I get a refund

All tickets purchased are non-refundable.
